More than a ride; a safe journey
Family life rarely fits into one box, so our support doesn’t stop at home. We also provide safe, reliable transportation for schoolchildren, which brings just as much peace of mind as care for older adults. We do this using a three-pronged approach:

Making you feel heard, seen, and valued
We approach every service with clarity, compassion, and an unwavering commitment to safety, continually redefining what everyday care and support feel like.
Questions families often ask
How will I determine which care services my loved one needs?
We start with a personalized care consultation to understand your loved one’s daily needs, preferences, and health concerns. Based on this assessment, we create a customized service plan that addresses their unique care requirements while prioritizing safety, comfort, and dignity at every step.
What happens during a home visit for care consultation?
A nurse or care coordinator will visit your home to assess your loved one’s daily routine, living environment, and specific care needs. Together, we will develop a personalized care plan that addresses their unique needs, promotes comfort, and ensures they receive the appropriate level of support.
Can I request to replace a caregiver for my loved one?
Yes. You have the right to request a change of caregiver at any time. Your loved one’s comfort and well-being are our top priorities. If you or your loved one feels that a caregiver isn’t the right fit, we will work closely with you to match them with a caregiver who better meets their needs and can become a trusted partner in daily care.
What happens when the level of care my loved one needs increases?
If your loved one’s needs change, we work closely with their healthcare professionals and case manager to complete a formal evaluation of the current care plan. Together, we identify any gaps and adjust the level of support as needed—ensuring your loved one continues to receive the right care at the right time.
What are common ways to pay for care?
Understanding how to pay for care can sometimes feel overwhelming, but at Novence, we’re here to guide you through the options with clarity and compassion.
.There are several ways to help cover the cost of care for your loved one, depending on their needs and eligibility:
- • Private Pay: Using personal funds, savings, or investments to cover the cost of care directly.
- • Long-Term Care Insurance: Coverage from an insurance policy designed to support extended or ongoing care needs.
- • Medicaid Waivers: State programs that may cover certain long-term care services for eligible individuals.
- • Veterans Affairs (VA) Programs: Benefits available to eligible veterans to help with care-related expenses.
- • Medicaid Managed Care Plans: Care plans designed to provide personalized care for eligible individuals. Options include Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Buckeye Health Plan, CareSource, Humana Healthy Horizons, Molina Healthcare, and UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.
- • Other Approved Funding Sources: Funding that may be available to pay for care depending on your family’s situation and applicable state programs.
-
These options give families the flexibility to choose the payment method that best fits their circumstances and care goals — ensuring that quality care remains within reach.
How quickly does care start?
Care can often begin within 48 hours once the consultation and paperwork are complete, especially for urgent or private-pay needs. For Medicaid or less urgent situations, the process may take a little longer. However, our team works diligently to begin services as quickly as possible, ensuring your loved one receives the support they need without delay.
What’s the difference between non-medical transportation (NMT) and school transportation?
- • Non-Medical Transportation (NMT): Provides safe and reliable rides for older adults and individuals with disabilities to personal appointments, work, social events, family gatherings, grocery stores, community activities, and more.
- • School Transportation: Offers dedicated transportation to and from school and school-related activities for children, prioritizing safety, timeliness, and attentive care for students.
- • Non-Medical Transportation (NMT): Provides safe and reliable rides for older adults and individuals with disabilities to personal appointments, work, social events, family gatherings, grocery stores, community activities, and more.
If my child is not receiving care or doesn't need care, can I request school transportation?
Yes, you can. School transportation is a standalone service, which means that even if your child does not require additional care, you can still request safe, reliable rides to and from school and school-related activities.

Novence is built on trust, empathy, and excellence. We do more than provide exceptional care—we restore dignity in everyday life and bring families peace of mind.
